Frozen Room

My heart is frozen in time until the thaw comes. The rest of me moves through time and space, weather and seasons, giving and caring, but there's a room in my heart that is secret and only you know the path to it. Only your presence and words, warm gestures and scent turn the tumblers and return that part of me to the rest that already keeps pace with the celestial timepiece. Beads of salt water have collected on the door. They refuse to fall until you return and cross the threshold. Only frozen time can arrest the vertical floodplain of tears, but when you return the Spring to my Love the tears will become showers to water our gardens and bring life anew.
